IREEN CAPLAN JULIUS

I am from Mahopac, NY.  I studied Advertising Art and graduated from Phoenix School of Design in NYC.  I spent many years traveling with my husband, a career Naval Officer and our two children. Retiring to Vermont, I began to paint. I studied under Bill Brauer, who encouraged me to keep painting. In 1994 I was accepted to the Vermont Studio Center, in Johnson Vermont for the Vermont Artist week. It was there I was introduced to the Monoprint /Monotype printing method.   I have been an artist for many years and have been producing monoprints and watercolors, specializing in whimsical works that feature "Cats". I have artwork on display at the Mattie King Davis Gallery and now once again in the Carolina Artists Studio Gallery A few years ago I designed my own website. www.dancingcatstudio and  sell my original and prints online as well as greeting cards of my whimsical works.
